Went to File>Preferences>External Tools and set the correct path to Ghostscript using the change button. When I start Scribus I get an error message that Ghostscript is not installed on my system. I then downloaded and installed Ghostscript.
GHOSTSCRIPT SCRIBUS PDF
gslite.exe is a distribution of Ghostscript that only contains the files necessary to create PDF documents
GHOSTSCRIPT SCRIBUS INSTALL
The preferred way to distribute and install Ghostscript automatically with the printer is to place the gslite.exe file next to the setup program. In other Windows versions, just append the path to the variable value, seperated by a semicolon 3. In Windows 10, you can do this by clicking on New and entering the path. Add C:\Program Files\gs\gs9.23\bin (or the directory where you installed ghostscript to) to the Path variable.
GHOSTSCRIPT SCRIBUS ARCHIVE
On some systems you can become root by running su and then supplying root's password To install a self-extracting Ghostscript archive on Windows 95/98 or Windows NT4/2000, you need just this self-extracting archive file. After make finishes its work, then you run, as root: make install. Now, cd ghostscript-8.71 to enter the directory then run. When passing options to ghostcript through a batch file wrapper such as ps2pdf.bat you need to substitute '#' for '=' as the separator between options and their arguments What you should now have is a directory named ghostscript-8.71. They are located in C:\Progra To run the batch files in the ghostscript lib directory, you must add gs\bin and gs\lib to the PATH, where gs is the top-level Ghostscript directory. Click Have Disk and browse to the Ghostscript files. Under Use an existing port, click FILE in the dropdown list and then click Next.
GHOSTSCRIPT SCRIBUS MANUAL
Choose the option to Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings and click Next.
GHOSTSCRIPT SCRIBUS 64 BIT
From this same cmd window you can now simply use gswin32c to start Ghostscript (use gswin64c on 64 bit Windows). If these default paths are not correct for your local platform, then you can enter the following command: SET GHOSTSCRIPT PATH where is the path to the directory that contains the Ghostscript executable Open a cmd window and (assuming your Ghostscript installation ended up in c:\path\to\gs.) then type set path=c:\path\to\gs\gs9.02\bin %path%. On Windows platforms, Ghostscript is launched with C:\GS\GS704\GS\BIN\GSWIN32C.EXE.
